Add 2 tbsp of hot oil. Mix well – initially with a spoon as we have just added the hot oil – and later with your hands as you crumble the flour properly
Now add water – in small batches – so that you make a tight dough and not make it watery
The final dough should have the consistency of a roti dough.
Now heat the cooking oil in a kadhai.
Add the dough to the chakli maker or a murukku maker – available on all online supermarkets – with the ribbon orifice option. Make sure you grease the insides of the machine before you add the dough.
Squeeze the dough into the hot oil as you get ribbon-shaped pakodas into the hot oil
