In a mixing bowl, add the rice flour, powdered urad dal, cumin seeds and asafoetida. Add salt and give it a good mix
Now add the butter and mix the butter well enough into the flour mix
Add water just enough to knead a dough.
Once the dough is made, take the chakli maker or murukku maker, available on all online supermarkets. Add the dough into the machine.
Heat oil in a kadhai. Once hot, using the chakli maker, squeeze the dough into the hot oil in the form of a small disc, in short bursts so that you get enough quantity of the snack in the hot oil. Make sure you grease the insides of the machine before you add the dough.
Fry all the discs to golden brown on both sides
